The 22 nd Princess Haruhime wedding parade was held on Sun., April 17, 2016. Aiming at Nagoya Castle Honmaru Palace reconstruction, the Honmaru Palace Forum(after Nagoya Castle Cultural Forum) was established 22 years ago.The Haruhime Dochu is reproducing the nuptial procession of Asano Nagayoshi's daughter Princess Haruhime who married to Tokugawa Yoshinao(the founder of Owari Domain). Asano Nagayoshi was a senior statesman of Kishu Domain. She was adored by the populations of the fief as Owari Domain's empress.

Nagoya Castle was first designated as the national treasure in Japan, and the scale was national leading. The Nagoya Castle castle tower and Honmaru Palace were burned down by the air raid in May of the World War II last stage. Although the castle tower was rebuilt with ferro-concrete in 1959, restoration of Honmaru Palace was not performed during the 20th century. Reconstruction of Honmaru Palace was considered around from 2000, and reconstruction was started in 2009. The restoration construction is in progress and will be completed in 2018.

Ms. Mudo Yuriko(2015 pass away) advocated restoration of Honmaru Palace, and she had complained of reconstruction to citizens through Princess Haruhime wedding parade. The distinguished services are praised and her monument is put on the inside of Honmaru Palace.

In order to perform the 3 new activity, Honmaru Network started in 2015.
The 1st is that whole Nagoya Castle is restored to the figure of the Edo period.
The 2nd is promotion of exchange with Cities which own a castle.
The 3rd is that we are activating Nagoya Castle and aim at realization of Tourist City Nagoya.
