The 2005 Aichi Expo (Aichi, Japan) overcame various challenges, including changes to the main venue, in the process from the decision to invite the Expo to Aichi, Japan to its opening, and was held from March 25, 2005 to September 25, 2005. The Expo is credited with establishing a new style of exposition, one that moved away from the old “development-oriented” and “national prestige” style of expositions and focused on environmental protection under the theme of “Nature's Wisdom” (environmental protection). This is a re-edited version of a video interview with Mr. Toshio Yasui (Deputy Secretary General of the Japan Association for International Expositions in 2005) on the occasion of the Aichi Expo's 10th anniversary in 2015, and the 20th anniversary of the Aichi Expo.
