The Battle of Nagashino was a battle fought between the combined forces of Oda Nobunaga and Tokugawa Ieyasu, numbering 38,000, and the forces of Takeda Katsuyori, numbering 15,000.It ended with an overwhelming victory for the combined forces of Oda and Tokugawa. 'Nagashino Battle Flag Festival' is held at the Nagashino Castle Site every year in early May.This castle was one of the important old battlefields in the Battle of Nagashino.Various events are held to console the spirits of the generals of the two armies, but the highlight of the festival is the firearms demonstration by the gun crews.
