The summary of the interview

2005 World Exposition,Aichi,Japan promoted the Chubu District activation. Ethnic Chinese which live in Chubu District were made to perform the Shunsetsu festival which introduces China before Chinese New Year in order to maintain this vigor. Nagoya Chinese Shunsetsu Festival started in 2007. Shunsetsu corresponds to the lunar New Year in China.

In Chinese rural district, various cooking articles are eaten at a stall or performances of Chinese-Acrobat-Team are enjoyed in a Chinese New Year period . We reproduced these events in the central part of Nagoya City. To this festival, you can eat local various food which is not in the menu of ordinary Chinese food. Moreover, many booths which perform Chinese product and PR of sightseeing are also opening a shop. The 64 highest ever booths are opening a shop in 2016.

The Chinese government dispatched two dancing teams and orchestras in cooperation with this festival. Much performances of high-level Chinese-Acrobat-Team which won a top prize and the second prize on the world stage are performed. Many of these performances are rarely seen overseas. It is one of the purposes that more Japanese people understand Chinese culture through this festival.
